Conway Golf was started due to my ability to consistently
make 4’-6’ putts. I have been a carpenter for
32 years, and started playing golf one night per week in
1994. For me, the easiest part of the game was putting,
due to my ability to actually envision the chalk line on
the green to the center of the cup. I stand square at 90
degrees every time, all from my years in the carpenter trade.
I was nicknamed “Chalkline” since
I could make all of my putts.
I decided to install a bracket so I could teach other people
my system. This system will train you to no longer worry
about missing short putts, raise your confidence, and drop
your handicap at least 2-3 strokes.
In 2008 I teamed up with Brian Gay, who tried my putter
bracket and instantly began using it on a daily basis. Soon
thereafter Brian won on the PGA Tour in 2008 and 2009. We
changed the name of the tool to the Brian Gay Chip and Putter
Bracket.
When I was new at the game and bought my first driver, I had
a problem hitting the center every time. After marking my own
club, this really increased my yardage on a consistent basis.
A club pro saw my markings and thought it was a great learning
tool, so I invented Conway Sweet Spots for everyone to use.
2011 - After spending the past three years with the players on the PGA Tour, listening and learning about their training habits, tools, and needs, I developed my latest tool. The Range Caddy! Based around lines and angles, ease of use and portability, we came up with a system that not only gets them into the perfect address position every time, but does it quickly and easily wherever they be.
